Wind, blow –
lift me high, don’t
let go;
fly me
far, above sand
and sea.
Monsoon –
take me, let’s chase
the moon.

Ryan, this image is breathtaking to accompany your lovely and powerful writing.
Good morning from me Ryan. You’ve put me in a bit of a conundrum this morning. I cannot decide if you are a better poet or a painter ๐
I think the image is just so beautiful and then your writing…like the ocean and white sand or the mountains and the chill.
Needless to say, turning into monsoon and chasing the moon is fantalicious. This verse is power packed but I’m sure you know that already. A few connotations/interpretations if not many.
Bravissimo!
There is so much spirit in this poem it is already taking flight before one can finish the last stanza!
Ryan, lovely! Spectacular imagery. The wind is so magical. Please enjoy your day. ~ Mia
Oh my my my–so beautiful I just want to camp on this page…but chores call (nag, rather) ๐
Definitely a gorgeous poem. I can feel the liberating feeling moving in me, plus it has all the “right” words ๐
I am thinking, you should read this out loud for us ๐
Gorgeous picture as always.
I get nostalgic (about old blogs) when I see your reposts. Sigh!
This is still as fresh as the first time I read it.
