Tempest

Wind, blow –
lift me high, don’t
let go;

fly me
far, above sand
and sea.

Monsoon –
take me, let’s chase
the moon.

    1. Thank you, Belinda. Would you believe it began as an autumn leaf on a slide at my son’s favourite playground? There’s so much beauty in the simplest of things. Have a wonderful day/night πŸ™‚

  1. Good morning from me Ryan. You’ve put me in a bit of a conundrum this morning. I cannot decide if you are a better poet or a painter πŸ™‚
    I think the image is just so beautiful and then your writing…like the ocean and white sand or the mountains and the chill.
    Needless to say, turning into monsoon and chasing the moon is fantalicious. This verse is power packed but I’m sure you know that already. A few connotations/interpretations if not many.
    Bravissimo!

  2. Definitely a gorgeous poem. I can feel the liberating feeling moving in me, plus it has all the “right” words πŸ˜‰
    I am thinking, you should read this out loud for us πŸ™‚
    Gorgeous picture as always.
