Show Me

Show me your words,
not your body.

The body catches a second.
The mind holds a room.

Skin gets likes.
Language gets remembered.

Anyone can undress.
Few can think out loud
and leave a mark.

Show me the sentence
that cost you something.
The thought you stood behind.
The voice that didn’t ask permission.

Not the body on display.
The real you.

  1. Can a stranger speak words that only you understand?
Must your heart posses one great love?
I’ve fallen in love many times.
The secret language of infatuation, still lingering on my lips.
Like words never spoken in a silent war.
Love, though costly I still dare to believe.
Love beyond temporal must be savored, until the alarm goes off.
Awakening to reality, dreaming of perfection.
