Falling Up

You will never fall in love with me.
Don’t try to convince me
That I will always wait for you.
If you really look, you’ll see
I’m not here for the long haul
Don’t imagine
You give me reason to stay.
When things get hard I’ll leave –
Don’t imagine
I’m not like the others,
Goodbye.
I’ll never say
I love you.

(Now read from bottom to top)

  1. Haha….what a contrast ! Reading from top to bottom gives a different meaning than bottom up……words do have meaning….Excellent work my dear!

  4. Awesomesauce! I love how the meanings change from top to bottom, but one message point that did not, “you will never fall in love with me” . It shows how one’s perspective plays a great role in being determined. Great post!

  6. Dear Ryan,

This is a clever rendition of a poem. The trick is to write upwards, meaning that the bottommost line is the first. Well done!

I have also innovated and invented some new poetic forms. You are very welcome to check them out.

    Happy August to you!

    Yours sincerely,

  7. It’s only natural, that, we want to, protect ourselves, before we know how we feel is, indeed, reciprocated from the person whom we have, feelings for, but, sometimes, we need to be, brave, in, saying these three words first, to really know, if, that’s how the other person, feels. And, so, there’s, always going to be that, risk, that, the
other individual doesn’t, feel exactly the, same.
