Dusky pink moonlight
Cherry blossom arabesque
Dreaming tomorrows
Ryan Stone

too much coffee, too little sleep, a love of words…
Dusky pink moonlight
Cherry blossom arabesque
Dreaming tomorrows
Ryan Stone

From this bridge of sighs
They watch the chasm sunder
Here, where dreaming ends

Above the still lake
A smoke and pepper patchwork
Birds entering clouds
Ryan Stone

dawn pauses, explodes
in a flash of carmine fire
flaring in the east
flaring in the east,
Icarus ascends his throne –
blazing flight of one
blazing flight of one,
Labyrinth behind, no one
makes it out alone

determined thief—
forest fire steals all
but their last embrace
Ryan Stone

ice on her duck pond
gently melts into water
changing…not leaving
Ryan Stone

while shopping abroad—
beer, bibles, guns and sweatpants
all in one aisle
Ryan Stone

after the dance
her questioning hands—
is this your first time?

At the garage sale
Cherished toys in an old box
A man asks, how much?
