Ryan, always bring beautiful things to life.:) I’ve been on an emotional rollercoaster lately…: this peace actually made me teary eyed. It’s beautiful โค๏ธ

Nothing wrong with a tear here and there. I’m flattered that it made such an impact, Carisa. I hope the rollercoaster levels out for you soon ๐

So lovely. I had to Google Jonquil because I needed to see what they looked like. We call them daffodils. Anyway I found this interesting bit of info on a website:
What the Jonquil Means:
Jonquil represents the feeling of desire โ as well as getting the feeling of desire and love back to you. Itโs also a symbol of sorrow. All these meanings might have sprung from the Greek myth about Proserpina.
The story goes that she was gathering lilies when she was kidnapped by Pluto, the god of the underworld. As the god carried her away, she dropped the lilies that she pied and these turned into jonquils. Their blossoms are dropping down in sorrow for Proserpina.
Hope your Saturday is behaving itself ๐

Thanks for your feedback and for all the cool background – I wasn’t aware but that is very interesting…and quite possibly worthy of a poem all of its own ๐
Saturday is a welcome visitor, thank you ๐

You’re a sweetheart, but please don’t listen to me. I’ve just been a little too accelerated/caffeinated lately. I’m very pleased to read the natural flow of your words instead of something fingido.

Fank yew. Me too :-)) Oh yes, you’re good with words. I forgot to mention in the post that, seeing as I personify mostly everything, I’d like to name my glasses. No pressure, but if you have any ideas, give a shout.

I couldn’t agree more. I tried to leave ‘she’ loose enough to fit many interpretations. Happy it worked ๐

Itโs a re-release .. my contract was terminated with my previous publisher โฆ there were on the East coast of America and I signed up just before covid started .. logistics became complicated โฆ but I have persisted and funnily enough Iโm with Jaymah Press now, who right on my back door in Torquay .. and Judy, my editor/publisher has been fantastic .. and yes itโs a great looking book ๐
